If you think about it, at the moment you've got each and every class doing a three lap practise which is pretty much useless, the only thing you find out is if the kart goes but you can't gauge how it performs. Now if we bunched similar classes together for practise (dependant on grid sizes) and increased the practise to two 8-10 lap practise sessions it wouldn't affect the days race time too much. You could then have a realistic option of just doing a one day race or if you want the extra practise you can go to the testing on Saturday.
It would probably increase the numbers at all circuits as rather than do one practise and one race day a month you will get more karters doing just two race days a month at different tracks.
I think it's a very good idea actually.
