I agree karting for kids is unbelievable. I've gone from perhaps the most commited Cadet father in Europe in terms of time put in and distance travelled, (a year off work and 60,000 + karting miles in 2 years), to perhaps the most jaded and disallusioned.
All I can say is that in my experience the organisation of federal cadet karting both in France & the UK, from the very top, down to some high level club racing is like an exclusive club. Entry is admitted depending on the size of your wallet and how free you are with it. Otherwise you are only welcome to make up the numbers, but the moment you start to become competitive, then you will be knocked backed and virtually ANY MEANS will be used to accomplish this, both on and off the track. NOTHING is beyond the need for the money the win.
Unless you're very rich and thick skinned, forget it, stick to club racing, go non MSA or Easy Kart and or wait for the adult classes.
