You are NOT alone.
Remember...when your new...average...etc..your not a threat...
When you become competitive all these SO CALLED karting friends are no longer friends....
Would you or I go for a drink with most of these people if you met them in the street ? No.
The faster and more competitive you become the more attention you will attract...FACT.
We've learnt over many years to just walk away (as hard as it is when you have an adult tearing strips out of your kid, then YOU react to that threat against the adult and straight away YOUR'E the madman Lol...)
Senna genuinely never had a friend in the paddock (his competitors)
He was there for his racing ONLY.
I go racing for my kid ONLY...stuff the rest.
Abide by the rules the very best you can in ALL areas and hold your head high and hurt them where it hurts the most ON TRACK....it will come !
The thing I laugh at is over the last 8yrs Ive seen all these so called parents with money, kit, next L.H. and probably 70% are no longer karting or have slipped way down the ladder...
I'm still here at top level karting.
Love it, enjoy it and sod the lot of them mate !
