Hi can anyone explain to me why you have to match the floats with the right jets.

a mate has a rotax just for fun and he has told me his carb is running the wrong floats and jets.
and to be honest he does seem to have a lot more power.

I have tried his carb on my engine and you can tell right away it has more power.

is this the reason? we use same main jet and needle clip.

he did say its illegal to use for racing so what has he done to the carb to get more power is it really just the wrong floats with jets??
