As an addition to another thread on this forum I thought I would start a new thread for this topic.
We purchased a Storm in Feb / March time this year. It has cracked in 4 seperate places starting from the second time it went out on track (This has only been used 5 times). Although this is a budget kart and we weren't expecting the quality of a Tonykart, it would have been nice to have it last a year or so before cracking.
I've had many TKM Chassis over the years and no chassis has ever cracked in such a short space of time and in so many places. It doesn't seem uncommon or a one off speaking to other owners around the paddock.
I'd like to get some fire-power to John Hoyle in terms of numbers, and try to contact him. I know he has been giving Simon Vercoe Storm Frames all year because they keep breaking. Why should he get support and not others?
So if you've had the same problem with the Storm provide me with full name, purchase details (where / when), crack details (Location(s), after how much use)I'm going to try the safety in numbers approach with John Hoyle. The more ammunition we have the better - so let me know and I'll keep everyone updated on progress.
