Many thanks for the replies, I understand the reasons why you would do it now and also why it is not so important on a TKM engine.

One observation I would like to make, purely as a newcomer to karting and this forum who has read many questions and respective answers is this:-

In most instances whenever someone asks for help "itpro" always seems to be the main one who goes out of his way to offer a detailed explanation and then there seems to be a few who go out of their way to prove him wrong?

Is this just a side effect of the competitive nature of the sport, as sometimes it may put off newcomers asking questions for fear of starting a slagging match.

Just an observation, I do not know the guy at all but have learnt a lot from his posts.
