Watching the TKM S1 on tv the other night I also noticed some drivers where choking not just at the end of a straight , but at the start of a straight also in the middle , infact it seemed random as the same drivers didn't choke at the same point on the track each time.

What other advantages does it give then? does it richen up the mix , or is it to compensate for a carb set very lean .

Just interested in what the effect is and what performance advantage if any there is.
