Just caught up with this thread.... another irritating thread where people try and tell other people how right their views are and encourage newbies not to try things.
Its great you tried some Mags Liam - the problems you described and the outcome describes the trend exactly. Good luck to you, you ignored his negative, unhelpful comments and found yourself some speed. Walk down a decent TKM grid in the summer and you'll see the majority on Mags due to the issues you've descibed. In the winter, you may find it slightly different as its easier to keep the temperature down.
On the note of negatives Traxtar. You're busy telling everyone how many lap records you've broken, (none of them official though - how convenient) and how there are not many decent TKMers around these days and how you know EVERYTHING and nobody else's views are right. But I've not seen you competing for a long time so I don't know if its really all that fair for you to comment on the lack of talent in the class. What have you actually 'officially' acheived recently? As for the 8 times a National Champion on your profile I'm not too sure where they came from? Have you ever even competed in S1, let alone won it? I'm not trying to be nasty, just trying to defend a class I love and the fact its still competetive - and trying to help new people to karting. Apparently 'karting isn't a game' and 'it's something you can't stop thinking about' so I assume you have a passion for it.... in which case help the newcomers by encouraging them, not mocking them!
Liam, keep trying things, getting quicker and learning and don't just trust what someone tells you - try it for yourself
