Dean I agree that this is a good thing for the class, and no i didn't expect you to name them, i just don't believe that people are really that unhealthy. (see my later point about BMI)

The rules allow for a significant range of heights & weights and attempt to level that out with a certain amount of power, therefore creating a level playing field.

Incidently if you have a chassis that weighs 90kg and your driver is 30kg then if their height can be between 1.06m and 1.41m then from a BMI perspective they are a HEALTHY weight...

now we know that karts are more like 70kgs with direct drive engines so the driver can be 50kgs for the black restrictor (before 1 July) therefore their height should be 1.37m to 1.8m for a "good BMI" figure...

BTW - the 3kg of extra weight will equate to 6cm of height from a BMI perspective

It therefore comes down to personal decision as to what weight you run and how you achieve that.

I also believe that if you did record the BMI of all the drivers, that they would be over the "minimum" healthy level.

All that said, well done Talko for having leveled the power to weight issue.
