in most cases, soft will allow the inside rear wheel lift to more on the exit, stiffer will do the opposite.

you could try a soft axle but to be honest, it's more than likely the way you're driving, hopping is fairly normal with new drivers in max. just try going into the corner a little slower or make sure you're fully round the corner before putting your right foot down.
