Hi Dave,
I had the opposite problem with my son we have been karting now since Sept/Oct he just did not use his break at all as when I warned him about the consequences of double pedaling I think I over did it? But we are getting there. One way I got around this was to get him off track somewhere quite and get him to travel towards me at speed (stright line) and BREAK!! And did this for a few hours seemed to do the trick. Racing for buttons at PFI is a great stating point. They will put him in a class that suits him. Best start him in the bambinos and take it from there. My daughter who went for first time last Monday loved it and was doing great in the bambinos. My son has just moved out of the bambino's and gone into the slow group and just get's better and better each meeting. R4B (owner drivers) meets every other Monday 17:00 till 20:00 and costs £15 worth every penny! The next owner driver meeting will be on May 3rd. http://www.racing4buttons.co.uk/
Keep an eye out for me WTP BRM #64 and Comer Zip Storm #14 Bucky.
