Track Rods Below Stub Axle?

We have a Mari cadet kart and have fitted new stub axles which are manufactured at a differant angle to the old ones,is it ok to fit the track rod to the underside of new stub axle? If I try to fit it above as per the originals the track rod fouls on the brake connecting rod
