Russell, don't get fooled into thinking that the psi has to be 9-11 psi. Remember on the old tyres you had them at 14-18 psi for Wigan and over at Wombwell you had to have them at about 28 psi. Different tracks will have different levels of grip so that guide set by TKM really is a rough starting point. The best way is to do your own testing and figure out the correct pressure yourself going off the stop watch.
If it were me I'd have done three test sessions.
Session 1 - 10 psi Session 2 - 13 psi Session 3 - 15 psi
After doing these three you would begin to see a pattern as to which way to go with the pressures, if you were going faster at 15 psi then I would go higher and higher until you stopped getting quicker. (This is assuming that you have had a fair few laps practise with these new tyres of course)
It's basic stuff but I used to see so many racers just guessing and guessing isn't good enough, the stop watch doesn't lie.
