Alan - it is a great pity that you are having to devote so much time justifying these very sensible decisions and perhaps if these statements had been made alongside the notification of the fee increase then 99% of the adverse comments would have been avoided. You can never satisfy everyone!
A classic example of poor PR is with the cameras. The original announcement was along the lines of "you will have to buy a camera from JKH at a price to be announced unless you already have one that matches the specification that we will announce in due course"
It could have made a much better impression to announce that the Go Pro HD was to be the specified camera with a statement that drivers could buy this from any source but that JKH were offering a special deal at Ł200 + VAT which could save the S1 customer up to Ł100 on typical UK prices.
