Our engine builder (JC Tune)gave us this advice. The length from the manifold start to the first weld measured along the outside (long way round) should be 41cm. The first weld is where the exhaust stops tapering and the manifold start should not include the nuts. This gives balanced performance across the rpm range. If your set up calls for bottom end performance then go longer, if you want top end (high revs) performance then go shorter. Good luck!
