A bit advice needed on easy start wheels please guys.....

I am a newcomer to karting and have a direct drive engine so have bought an easy start wheel off ebay, hopefully to make it less hassle to get started.

The wire which releases the wheel is about 2ft long with a T handle, my question is where is this routed?

Surely it cannot be just left to flap about or it's going to get tangled around the axle?

Sorry if it's a daft question - like I said I'm new to all this.
