Couldn't get a new plug today so gave the old one a good clean up. Seems to spark ok. I decided to have a look at the size of the jet. It was a 160 in it. Rotax book said to use a 172 for the temps in the colder weather.
Now fitted that jet size but i think the carb/engine are soaked from when i was trying to start it before. :(
I need to clean the filter foam out. How do i do this? Just wash it in something? Now i have drained the fuel out, took the carb off, filter off and plug out to let them dry out a bit.
Would the difference in the jet size make that much difference to the starting?
***** Also on the carb has a small black pipe joining from one side of the carb to the other side. Looks like the old owner has cut a small hole in the pipe? Why would he do this and should it be there?
Many thanks for you time guys. You are a real help to new people like me.
Thanks again,
Matt
