I've been given a W60 for my final year college project to make 'faster beyond regulations'. Obviously the engine won't be going back into circulation for racing etc, just a bit of fun, learning and hopefully a good grade at the end of it!

I am now stuck on what to do to make the thing faster, I am aware of basic timing and port designs etc but I know there are really specific things I'm missing out on. At the moment the engine is just stripped down as I don't want to start hacking at it until I really know the specifics.

Anyone who wants to give a few minutes to help out and give me a bit of info I'd be really grateful.
