Q: What format will FKS run in 2010 ?

A: We're running 12 rounds, on six double-header weekends. On each round you get TQ, 2 heats and a final.

We've listened to your comments and we've increased the number of races. We're running all double-header meetings for 2010; that makes a total of 12 rounds. Race days start with Timed Qualification, then two heats, and finish each day with a final. Trophy presentation follows each evening, and it's a fresh start on Sunday morning, so if you run in to problem on the Saturday, there's a good chance of pulling things back together for Sunday's round.

While we've concentrated on improving the format for 2010, we've cleaned up a few points in the points scoring system. The special points for timed qualification have been removed, but you can still drop a whole weekend if you can't make it that month, or you can drop the equivalent number of races if you fall on bad luck, and of course you can spread those dropped races over the whole season.
