The MSA [karting] should be acting in the best interests of its licence holders - kart drivers... and nobody else really. Surely if those running the MSA were democratically elected on that mandate, then that's exactly what they'd do... or they'd be kicked out at the next election. The current system seems to be upsetting too many paid up licence holders and unless the MSA is reformed, they will vote with their feet and go elsewhere. That wouldn't be good for karting in this country as division in these kinds of situations generally causes damage. However it has been proven to be impossible to change the MSA from the outside, so all we can do to avert the inevitable is to hope they're listening and that they do the right thing. A little precarious I would have thought.
