The right hand seat mount on my chassis has sheared off and is now in 2 pieces. the top half of the seat mount is currently 2-3mm out of alignment (i.e further to the right) with the lower section of the seat mount.

The break is quite clean.

Can this be rewelded together and will it hold or is it likley to go again? I take it any welder could fix this and no specialist form of welding is required?

The chassis was also bent (and i think still is slightly) and could bending the chassis back have caused this to break? Or is accident damage more likley?

Any help would be much appreciated
