really,you need to be looking at rebuilding your carb for every race weekend or practice day to eliminate any potential problems.having a carb sat around with fuel in it doesnt do the diaphrams much good and for the sake of a few quid its the easiest way to avoid potential and annoying problems with the carb

learn how to strip and rebuild it to the same spec every time and then learn what the best base setting is for the jetting/needles and start the day on those settings,then tweak if you feel the need throughout the day
