Hi Dave,
It really does vary from club to club. Around our area they all seem to include visitors rather than recalculate just for club members.
However even then there are differences - Shenington only give points for the finals; Whilton give points for heats and finals but then split cadtes between comer, wtp and honda and recalculate for each class - gets a bit complicated; Rissington run a cadet libre with points for heats and finals.
Generally I prefer visitors to be included but if your local track happens to be on the S1/FKS circuit then you could get a lot of visitors just before the S1/FKS meeting and that could impact on the club championship (although most clubs allow for dropped rounds).
