been checking his revs, tyre pressures ect....

hes holding good revs thru the corners and getting good revs down the fast straights even on low gearing. its an extreamly grippy track hes racing at so am running him with low pressure to remove grip and also to control engine temp.(im running an intrepid which are grippy any way)

the only thing that i can see we arnt doing is letting him adjust the carb on track.
the reason for this, ive seen two many cadets get hooked on trying to find the sweet spot and they seem to be "on the screw" all the time, which i find slows them down when they should be concentrating on the track, and also the fear factor off him seizing his engine thru inexperiance as hes still only just turned 9yrs old. how old was james before you let him atempt to self adjust?

i think your right in that it may be time to pay for a couple of days with a top mechanic for my benefit, so i can get to grips with the carb set up, as im sure i could be doing more when it comes to carbaration set up. should i be adjusting the carb every time i change gear to compensate of the gear change?

thanks richy

dave
