We run a Tonykart in Cadets and many a time have been spun out/lifted by the Zip nosecone. They present a definite advantage to their drivers at the start as they slip under the rear of the kart in front. On goes the green light and the kart in front gets lifted whilst the driver doesn't feel any impact. Very subtle!! As for Zip getting a waiver for their bodywork I wonder what the reaction would be of the officials if all non-Zip karts turned up on the grid with Zip nose cones on! The MSA nees to get a grip with this issue and force Zip to modify the nosecone in readiness for 2010. No modification ready, no racing for 2010!! Might concentrate the mind if that was the ultimatum presented to them.
