To work out what chain length you need, you add the teeth of the axle sprocket, and the teeth of the engine sprocket the add on ten. So I've got an 87 on the back and 10 on the front - 87+10+10=107, so you get a 107 link chain, i noticed that i could buy a 107 link for 30 quid, or buy a 108 link for 15, and extra link doesn't matter, just make it longer not shorter. Your chain guard, do you have any pictures of it? So we can see what one it is? Thomas.......
