The screw in the coil that the HT lead screws into is very rusty, The wires in the HT lead are rust too, not sure if its just stained the lead.
I will have a closer look, I'm used to the core of a HT lead being Copper or tin plated but not sure what Rotax use.

If its just steel wire I will be very disapointed. Think I will just replace the whole lead with some copper motorcycle HT lead that I know has a tined copper wire. Not racing the kart so no scruteneers to keep happy.
