I totally agree!!!

Karting has become totally elitist! If not in the amount needed to "go racing competitively" (Ł1200 on a club meeting springs to mind, detective!!!), then if a driver turning up with car and trailer starts hassling the top runners, they bin them off!!!! For a sport that should be an entry level to motorsport, I hate what this has become!!

I remember buying my first kart (Wright Mini 1992 with Comer engine) in 1998 and winning races at Nuthampstead and running easily top ten at Kimbolton, and I thought that the top guys were spending a fortune then!! Thats nothing compared to the astronomical amounts some people are racing on Cadet and Junior racing!!!

I recently bought a 2002 F1 Chassis for 250 Nat and two TM MX250 engines for Ł1000!!!! Not saying that it should be race winning, but thats how it should be!!! Not that amount for an "average" Rotax engine!!!
