Hi there
i did 5 novice races at Blackbushe last year and am just a practice-dayer this year unfortunately but now i am testing at rye house.
Last time out in my Tony Kart EVXX, i went from 39.5 in the morning, so 38.5 by late doors in the afternoon.
this was from playing with pressures, stiffening the chassis by putting in the rear torsion bar (which ive never ever used...) and widening the front wheels
it felt good to find a second from pure setup
but im over 2 seconds off 177 race pace! i looked at the last race meeting and from like 30 karts, i'd be at the back?!
ive read loads of karting1.co.uk articles about posture, steering, braking and am getting the hang of it. i know the basic principles and am not a kart wrestler
so where will i find a mamouth 2 second round rye?!
im about 80 kilos and my kart a bit more so im very close to the 162 limit imposed my max regulations, so cant really blame weight for my speed
i was running an 88 sprocket which yes felt sluggish by the time i'd gone past the finish line, a good few meters before turn 1 but felt ok out the corners which are tight on the infield
which front and rear sprocket should i use?
