clutches dont just go, they wear slowly and you can see the rpm they engage at go up. you will have seen the sliping clutch debate ref max clutches. it is often seen as an advantage to have a clutch that is a bit slippy. as for engine temp, i dont believe the two are related. a clutch that slips will reduce the load on the engine and hence engine temp although if it fails to engage fully by 6500 rpm it will start showing up as an increase in lap times.
