i have to say, having raced both that power wasnt a particular issue with me.when you get into either kart the difference in power isnt THAT noticable.the power valve kicking in is more noticable

im not totally convinced about this theoy that the tkm is SO down on power that it wont be able to overide the sticky tyres of rotax.i mean, lets face it,the rotax has no botom end whatsoever and its quite easy in a tkm to give a rotax a good nudge up the ar$e coming out of a slowe corner because of its lack of power at lower revs and thats despite the grippy tyres and CIK chassis

again though,i reckon that power between the two classes is not the main difference in driving a tkm or a rotax(if you want power, why go for a rotax, get an axrio for gods sake!).for me its about the power to grip ratio of each individual class on its own merits and the sensation and driving experience this gives you

who cares if the rotax is 2,3 or 10 seconds qquicker a lap?

just to clarify,i left rotax only because i couldnt afford the money for tyres all the time.i actually didnt want to leave the class but when i went to tkm i found a whole new experience and i thoroughly enjoy it.if rotax had a tyre that last longer then the probability is that i might still be racing in that class.having said that though,im quite pleased that i did make the move, purely for the feel that a tkm gives me
