changing axle

Hi,

Never changed a back axle before. Do you have to counter sink for the axle bearing grub screws into the axle?

If so does the hole just need to be drilled or tapped as well? The axle I have just taken out just looked like the axle was a bit crudely drilled out.

I have got the secondary collars to stop the axle sliding through dont know if that makes any difference, oh and its a 30mm axle.

Any guidance much appreciated.
