why complicate things?
people have been raving in the wet in karts for years witht the same issues.its true sometimes you cant see too much but you can see to the side for landmarks and you can hear.there arent too many occasions when racing in the wet that you can see NOTHING.the driver is in control at ll times, the driver can take the foot off the gas at any time
can you imagine everyone scrambling on the dummy grid to swap stuff over for a sudden down pour.successfully sorting everything out and getting the driver out, only to be excluded from the race because you didnt switch on those LED's.yeah it was raining but it was only drizzle and the visibility was perfectly ok but rules is rules, you didnt switch your lights on! and you forgot to turn the winscreen wipers on the visors on too!
i personally get a little sick of stuff being added to and over complicated under the heading of "safety".
no disrespect meant of course! :)
