After Sundays experience I was determined to try and get to the bottom of the situation because as Ive tried to explain, we did not do anything wrong yet fell foul of a law (wet clutch vs dry clutch).
As per JAG/Rotax's statement there is NO performance enhancement on the NEW STYLE clutches, quite the opposite it now seems and GREASE MUST be applied to the bearing and it CAN AND DOES get into the clutch drum therefore absolutely and definately causing a WET CLUTCH ! and that is direct from John @ JAG....
So, with all this in mind, who and when makes the decision to alter the regs to suit this current "problem", I desperately tried in a constructive manner to argue this case with Paul Klaassen re; metal to metal and non performance enhancing but he just would not listen to my argument and I'm assuming he's the head guy in the scrut field ???
We are at Whilton this weekend and at the mo we are preparing to run DRY bearing so as not to experience last Sundays fiasco again :-(
