from my limited knowledge the answer is a definate NO NO NO
the number on the plug represents the heating of the plug
in MAX (quoting denso range only)you can use the IW24, IW27, IW29,IW31
the lower the number the hotter the plug
you run a hot plug in very cold conditions and run a cooler plug in hot conditions.
i believe that if you run a cool plug in cold conditions the plug will not be able to burn off the residue from detonation. if you run a hot plug (IW24) in hot conditions the plug will DEFINATELY overheat and it is likely you may sieze your engine
you have to run the correct plug for the conditions
so to recap
run a cool plug in cold weather = plug foul and engine dies/work work = stops
run a hot plug in hot conditions = plug overheat and possible engine sieze = definately end of day
hope this helps and i am open to correction
cheers
