You are correct in that you are allowed to have up to 2.7% oxygen content... so if you buy a fuel with it at this maximum then you have removed that variable...
HOWEVER, repeatability doesn't come from pump fuels at filling stations...
You could buy race fuel that is specifically blended to give the closest and repeatable composition, BUT
GOLD BOOK "B.1.1 Fuel for Club meetings must conform to the MSA specification defined as - Fuel must be Unleaded petrol as defined in The Terminology Section of the MSA Yearbook.
"B.1.2 When control fuel is specified the fuel for the ABkC Championships will be obtained through the appointed supplier and will conform to the current MSA Regulations.
