312ml in 5 litres is a 16:1 mix which is what Shell recommended for their castor based oil. The 275ml suggested in the last posting is more like an 18:1 mix. We've used both and found no noticable difference in performance so now play safe and use the Shell recommended mix. 16:1 has worked well for us: ie no engine problems in any temperatures and fast lap times.
