People always mistake friendly clubs as being "cliquey" since newcomers aren't initially as well known and are therefore less involved in the social bit.
Anyway, favourite circuits (from a driving point of view):
1) Rye House - haven't raced their for many years but Stadium followed by the run down to the hairpin is unbeatable in my opinion.
2) Bayford Meadows - People often slate it for being twisty but I find the infield technically challenging and from turns 8 through 1 basically flat-out. A nice mixture.
3) Lydd - No big stops, plenty of high speed corner entries and direction changes.
4) Buckmore - Great fast uphill and downhill sections with a couple of big stops too. Only caveat is the poor track surface (that may have changed).
5) Kimbolton - I don't get on with this circuit at all. It's one of those circuits that really shows up your deficiencies. That's why it's so good. I haven't raced their for a long time so can't comment on what it is like now.
In terms of facilities, Bayford is my favourite (haven't been to PF though). In my opinion, all a kart circuit needs (in this order) is:
1) Decent toilets 2) Tarmac Paddock 3) Decent food (preferably somewhere warm to eat it too)
