Brilliant,thanks so much for all that info.I expected that it may not be the latest C type being a 2002 model.It was just that it was stamped C1520 after K9.
I have already made enquirys and found a supplier for a new or secondhand 30mm VHSH Carb, in case the restricter idea was not possible,but not sure what jets and needle sizes I will need to install for this engine,I will use a mix of 20:1 and would prefer to set the carb slightly rich to start off with just to be safe.The kart came with a torpedo shaped air box with two rear facing intakes,but no internal filter or opening to put one in,it looks like it is just a cold air intake box.
Thanks again for all your help,I really appreciate any information as the first race is in March at Kimbolton and then at Langbaurgh [only 15 miles away] in March so I need to get sorted as soon as possible to get some practice and testing done
