Now there'll be people that will blow my head off for this, but I'm gonna say it anyways. I feel there's significant confusion over what's allowed and not allowed in adapting old style bodywork mountings to allow the fitment of the newer style bodywork that I would not recommend anyone go out and buy an older style bodywork kart... period.

If you already have an older style bodywork kart its a different matter... but if you don't have a kart at all, then play safe and get something post 2004 which will definitely be legal.

In terms of this Jade, I think the starting price is a little steep. In terms of how long its legal to race, it will be 10 years from the year of homologation which, if its a 2001 JADE homologated under number TKM01201, means that will be until the end of 2010.
