I actually sold a kart on ebay a couple of years ago to an oversea's buyer from one of the African countries.
The kart was up for auction and when the hammer fell I checked the buyers address and I just thought "how the heck is he going to pick this up, it must be some sort of scam". Anyway I contacted the buyer and he said to phone some guy down in Southampton who he used for exporting goods. So I ring up this guy and it is a company who deal with exports and imports, I explain the situation and the guy say's "oh yes he's a customer of ours, don't worry it's all legit, we will send a truck up to you give you the cash and take it away and deliver it to him". Now I thought if they are sending the cash then how can I lose? So I agreed to it. The truck turned up bang on time, it was a great big flat bed, the driver gets out gives me an envelope full of cash and asks me to count it and sign a form to say I have recieved the cash. The kart is loaded up and off it goes to somewhere in Africa. It gets there the buyer is really happy and leaves positive feedback.
So there are legit buyers from oversea's but if they are legit then this is how you should deal with them and they shouldn't find it a problem if they are legitimate.
Weirdest ebay sale I have ever done though, lol, do they even have a race track in Africa?
Chris.
