Warden Law is a great track - we only raced there once in S1 last year but James really liked it.
The problem as far as gaining experience is that the grids look very small - just looked at some of the results over the last few months. It looks as if grids are between 8 and 12 karts and after the first few corners very little overtaking.
Great for learning basic kart control but not ideal for learning race craft.
At Shenington and Whilton you often get B finals of around 20 and you can have 10 novices at the meetings.
With those numbers your lad is far more likely to have a real race with at least a few others. Forget about having some Stars/S1 drivers at the meeting - this should be used to your advantage. If one of these passes your lad he should aim to stay as close as possible for as long as possible - he should start to see where they break, lines through corners etc - great experience.
