You shouldn't need to bleed your braking system every two weeks. There's something awry with it if that's the case. A hydraulic system is sealed. Provided all of the seals and pipes are serviceable and you're using the correct fluid then it shouldn't require bleeding. The braking system on one of my Wright TKMs hasn't been touched in 4 years and is in perfect condition.
If your son's experiencing braking problems then YOU should check the following with the kart on a stand :
o Make sure that the system isn't leaking. The pedal should transmit the braking effect to the calipers and they should return to their stops when the pedal's released.
o Make sure that the pads aren't glazed. If they are, clean the disc and replace the pads with new ones.
o Make sure that you're using the correct fluid and that its not overheating in the system - i.e. boiling.
When he's out on track, ensure he doesn't have his foot resting on the brake pedal enough to have the pads rubbing the disc and generating excessive heat.
