If you read my post i didnt say i was promised anything...what i said was i was foolish to get sucked in and spend that kind of money on pursuit of a Super 1 top ten...yes i wasted money racing at a level that was unaffordable to me because i am not a millionaire and unable to afford it. To get a top 5 in super 1 cadets you need to be a millionaire. In the same respect i couldnt afford a season in any of the classes you mention...the £70k wouldnt go far at all in F4 if i could afford that. I still read on here how people are chasing a few tenths and moaning about the big teams and really dont want to see someone else sucked into the money machine of Iame super 1 and Lgm karting. Yes i wish i had done it differently and if i had my time again i would do. I appreciate the single seater teams are not too bothered about karting careers and not many can afford to buy there way into a proffessional drive...i do understand how much that costs knowing the Russells and Barnicoat families well. Thats also assuming my kid was good enough, which he probably wasnt. So i will carry on grinding the record out whilst the dads on here carry on getting ripped off by the big teams, engine builders and sellers and stand there wondering why there kid is slow. I wish we had just had some fun and not got drawn into the razzmataz, but with the sport declining at local clubs the draw to race at Pfi and in Super 1/LGM is massive to find a decent competitive grid, then you come across the big teams and you get reeled in to remain competitive
