You've answered the question really by admitting some engines failed.

That means the scrutineers probably did their job and may have found performance enhancing modifications.

The seal completely hampers that because scrutineers rarely brak a seal.

I hope you don't think that engine sealers are squeaky clean :)

The old Christodoulou fiasco hasn't gone away as i know a prominent resealer who was recently fooled by another into sealing an engine and he of all people should have known better than to trust this particular person.

At least with the X30 the engines are stripped.
