To my knowledge over 15 ex (in the last 2 years) N.W. Karting regulars are now in CAR racing including 14/15/16 yr old Jnrs through to Senior Rotax and Gearbox drivers.Pro Rata its cheaper!!!and they are all front runners in grids of over 25 cars and on the podiums regularly !!!
I think the Karting "bubble" has burst,look at Market Place,FKS gone bust, Ł60,000 for a cadet/jnr to race 8 meetings nationally,tyres that wont do 3 races and a final,Ł1000 for a Rotax "top builder" re-build ,also nowdays many other options for peoples leisure money and jnrs have to decide at 16/17 car or motorbike/scooter on the road or karting as insurance takes most of mum and dads "karting" money and Grandads and Grandmas pensions are dwindling..
