Last year we ran X30 Snr twice a month for 8 month.,Prior to that we ran Snr TKM for 2 years again twice a month for 8 months. The costs for the X30 were half the costs of the TKM. The difference boiled down not to the engine costs but the constant rebuilding of the Walbro carb for every meeting.We do our karting for pleasure and leisure and we are very competitive. The X30 gives us far more enjoyment and that alone nullifies a lot of costs.
At the same time I would like to state that all the big teams I have had connections with have all been very helpful and given advice and sometimes material support freely.I have no complaints about what they do to stay afloat as businesses.
