Sorry but I'm coming to the defence of manufacturers here.
They don't deliberately manufacture something that will break, wspecially with something like a kart.
I've found that karts that crack in the rear hanger area on the engine side have usually been run with the engine back stop rouching the engine mount at some point. This shifts all the tension and strain into the weld between the hanger and tube.
If the component will take the head of an Allen bolt, then the 'correct' washer can be fitted.
Most components are well engineered, the only kart I remember being a basket case was the Storm that cracked spectacularly and soon disappeared.
The pull cords was a result of the insistence of a mechanical start method by you know who and not an electric start which would have stopped the problem ever emerging. Iame didn't want the pull cord.
Coils are not made by engine manufacturers and neither are the looms usually but are specced up and manufactured off site.
It is difficult to know if HT componets will breakdown, especially in the bathtub curve as the plug and cylinder design has an influence on things.
The Bambino carb design is probably quite servicable on a weed wacker but then you subject it to an airbox that it may not have been designed for and mount it in an environment it wasn't designed for.
All things have a warranty, most major components should have a 2 years EU warranty.
It's not usually the manufacturer that won't honour a warranty but the retailer who can't be ar$ed.
Having dealt with the Mach1 manufacturer I can categorically say that they are very interested in the quality of their product and the feedback from their customers.
They listen and act on that feedback and introduce changes in production very quickly.
I've never encountered a kart manufacturer that takes such an individual pride in their product and customer care.
A complicatedly stressed product like a kart is difficult to design to include every eventuality of stress.
