I've often wondered what would happen if at club MSA level there was simply a 2 stroke 125cc TAG championship. I cannot see the point in watching 3 seperate races each having 5 karts in each race.
This is how it works at moto-x after all, the rider chooses the manufacturer of the bike/engine but you all race together.
So the engine and chassis is up to the driver ie Rotax, X30,F/Blue etc. But the tyre would have the be the same for everyone.
This would probably get rid of some of the dying classes that simply take up sessions on a practice day (or go IKR) and also boost the size of the grids. If one engine proved to be quicker then im sure this would become the popular choice, however if its unreliable then people still have a choice of a different engine manufacturer.Ballast could also be used to level the playing field.
