I was at a race at the weekend and a very opinionated dad, started making some very sweeping statements about how corrupt engine builders are. How he'd taken his engine (Iame) in for its first service and "He" switched out the good bits, for his team engines!
He was absolutely adamant, that he knew this had been done. Bascally claiming, they all do it, so they can have the best engines to rent out!
I know this is the type of paddock talk that often gets banded about but has there ever been any substantiated cases where a builder has been taken to court, or lost there right to seal or service certain engines.
It just strikes me, that the risk of getting found-out and loosing an otherwise good reputation/livelihood wouldn't be worth the risk
